About us

Lloyd Energy Systems Pty Ltd (LES) is a developer of thermal energy storage solutions. LES was incorporated in late 2001 with the purpose of validating, demonstrating and commercialising thermal energy storage systems patented by Australian scientist and inventor Robert Lloyd.

The company is owned by a group of Australian individuals who have invested several million dollars to establish demonstration plants, complete the development and manage the commercialisation program.

In Cooma the company has a laboratory, workshop, a number of heat storage blocks and graphite cleaning pilot plant on a 5 acre site purchased for the purpose. The Cooma facility has been accredited by the Commonwealth Government as a Registered Research Agency. The site also houses the demonstration storage plants, a wind to heat demonstration and a complete small scale commercial plant incorporating water treatment, storage and steam turbine generation.

The Sydney office of LES accommodates management, financial modelling, engineering, CAD drawing, project management and administration.
